General Dentistry
Complete & Comprehensive Exams
Complete and Comprehensive Exams
It is important to have regular dental exams and teeth cleanings in order to maintain good oral and dental health. These appointments are important for patients of every age. During this visit, we will remove any plaque or tartar buildup from your teeth, floss, and polish your teeth. This aids in cavity protection. In addition to cleaning your teeth, we will examine your mouth for any signs of gum disease, oral cancer, or other irregularities.
Children’s Dentistry
Children’s Dentistry
Because they are still developing, children have different oral health care needs than adults. Our team works to provide friendly, compassionate dental care for younger patients. We work to help children understand the importance of a healthy diet, proper brushing of teeth, and more.
During their visits, we will examine your child’s mouth, make note of the development of their mouth, teeth, and bite alignment, and look for any signs of gum disease, TMJ, or prolonged problems such as thumb-sucking and teething. We will take x-rays as needed, clean and polish the teeth, and apply fluoride as needed.
Dental Sealants
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are made from plastic resin which bonds and hardens to the grooves on your tooth’s surface. We apply sealants to hard-to-reach places and tiny areas in your mouth to prevent decay from forming. It seals the tooth and smooths the tiny grooves, which reduces plaque build-up and can help prevent decay. This treatment is appropriate for children and adults.
TMJ Therapy & Appliances
TMJ Therapy & Appliances
The two joints that connect the temporal bone and lower jaw form the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Many individuals experience a clicking or popping sounds when opening or closing their mouth. It is also very common for these same patients to suffer from migraines or headaches. Many factors can lead to TMJ disorders including misaligned bites, joint dislocation, teeth grinding, and more. We will work with you to determine which treatment option best fits your needs. This includes custom-fit oral appliances, relaxation techniques, and more.
Restorative Dentistry
Fillings
Fillings
A filling is used to restore teeth after cavities have been removed. It helps save natural tooth structure and prevent future decay from developing. Our practice utilizes tooth-colored restorations which helps protect against broken teeth and improve tooth color, strength, and stability. Composite materials are carefully matched to your tooth structure and are virtually undetectable once it’s placed.
Cosmetic Crowns
Cosmetic Crowns
Dental crowns, also called caps, can be used on both front and back teeth. This treatment option is typically used on severely decayed or broken teeth, as well as those where a filling is no longer an option. A crown can be made out of a range of materials, including porcelain. This type of restoration provides you with a natural looking option, which restores the tooth’s strength and can last a lifetime.
Onlays & Inlays
Onlays & Inlays
These types of restorations are used on teeth too damaged to be repaired with fillings but are intact enough where a crown is not needed. An onlay is often referred to as a “partial crown” because it covers the entire biting surface of a tooth. An inlay fills space at the center of a tooth’s surface or in between cusps or rounded edges.
Extractions
Extractions
An extraction may be the best option if you have a tooth that is broken beyond repair or is severely decayed. We strive to create as comfortable of an experience as possible. The extraction procedure involves removing both the tooth and the root. After your procedure, we will discuss tooth replacement options, including dentures and partials, a dental bridge, or a referral for dental implants.
Dentures & Partial Dentures
Dentures & Partial Dentures
Whether you are missing one tooth or a whole row of teeth, dentures or partials can help restore function and aesthetics to your smile. To ensure your dentures or partials fit snugly in your mouth, we take precise, careful measurements of your jaw, mouth, and face. A snug fit ensures you are able to chew and speak properly. It is our goal to help you feel confident in your smile again!
Fixed Bridges
Fixed Bridges
A dental bridge is a device designed to fill in the gaps made by missing teeth. Leaving a gap cannot only affect the appearance of your smile, it can also affect your ability to speak and chew properly. In addition, it leaves your gums susceptible to disease, can lead to jawbone deterioration, and cause your remaining teeth to shift. The bridge consists of two crowns which are placed on teeth on either side of the gap. This device is cemented onto the teeth, so unlike partial dentures, the bridge is not removable.
Implant Supported Crowns & Bridgework
Implant Supported Crowns & Bridgework
Dental implants provide a great, permanent restoration option for patients who are missing teeth due to extractions or dental decay. A dental implant consists of metal posts which are surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath the gums. You must have sufficient bone structure to support the posts and implants.
Our doctors will work with your dental surgeon to complete the final implant restoration. This involves creating a custom crown or denture that is placed over the titanium post. This restores function, strength, and aesthetics to your smile. Once the restoration is complete, your implant will look just like a natural tooth.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Lumineers & Veneers
Lumineers & Veneers
Veneers are custom-made porcelain laminates that are applied directly to your teeth. This restoration option is ideal for individuals looking to improve their smile and correct misaligned or crooked teeth. Veneers look and feel like normal teeth. Lumineers are a specific brand of veneers that are thinner than traditional veneers, making them easier to place on the teeth and more comfortable. Placing the veneers only takes two visits and can help you drastically improve your smile by closing gaps or covering up chips, cracks, or stains on your teeth.
