About Charleston Dental Associates
Charleston Dental Associates was founded in 1976 by Dr. Ernest N. Pennington. From the beginning, Dr. Pennington and our team have provided patients with the highest level of care. In 2016, Dr. Blake Younis joined our practice. Over the years, we have treated patients in every phase of life — we serve patients age two years and above, families, and seniors. To ensure you and your loved one receive the best dental care we utilize the latest dental technology and equipment.
Provide the public quality dental care, while maintaining a high level of respect, ethics, morals, and kindness to our patients. We strive to maintain a friendly environment that provides a “family-like” atmosphere while improving the quality of life and restoring function and health of our patients.
Ernest N. Pennington, D.D.S
Dr. Ernest Pennington received his dental education from the University Of West Virginia School of Dentistry in 1976.
He’s affiliated with several organizations, including the American and West Virginia Dental Associations and Kanawha Valley Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Pennington enjoys WVU Football and WVU Basketball. He spends his free time traveling, listening to music, and spending time with his family and grandsons Nolan and Levi, and granddaughter Ava.
Blake A. Younis, D.D.S.
Dr. Younis graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2016.
She is a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Society. She is certified in Botox and dermal fillers.
In Blake’s free time, she enjoys Crossfit, cycling, traveling and spending time with her boyfriend, Zach, and her family.
Becky graduated from the University of West Virginia in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in French and English. She has been a member of the staff at Charleston Dental Associates since the doors opened in 1977. Becky enjoys traveling and shopping in her spare time, as well as spending time with her family and grandsons Nolan and Levi, and granddaughter Ava.
Marketing Coordinator & Office Manager
Andrea graduated from Marshall University in 2004 with a degree in Advertising from the school of Journalism. Andrea also attended WV Wesleyan College and received her MBA in 2006. She has been on the staff of CDA since 2008. She likes spending time with her husband, John and sons Nolan and Levi, and daughter Ava. Outside of the office, Andrea teaches several aerobics classes including Zumba, Pilates, Piloxing, and Les Mills Body Pump.
Tracy joined Charleston Dental Associates in January 2017 bringing over 25 years experience in Dentistry. She loves spending time with her daughters Erika and Whitney, grandchildren Isaac, Sophia, Layla and Lucy. She enjoys cooking, crocheting, attending her church and playing with her dog Bruno.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Bridget graduated from the University of West Virginia Dental Hygiene School in 2006. She has been at CDA since 2008. Bridget enjoys traveling, WVU sports, entertaining and her dog Maverick. Bridget and has a son named Cole.
Certified Dental Assistant
Trena graduated from Carver Center in 2005 as a dental assistant, and has also worked at CDA since 2005. Trena enjoys spending time with family and her Yorkshire Terriers, Macie, Molly, and Mackie. She enjoys going to church and also teaches Addiction Classes and is going to school to get a degree in Addiction Counseling.
Certified Dental Assistant
Kayla graduated from WVJC in 2014 as a certified dental assistant. Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband Nico and her children Eric, Nevaeh, and Aaliyah. She also enjoys watching movies and game shows.
Angel has been working as a dental assistant for 5 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband Martin and her two daughters Merissa and Taylor. When she’s not working she loves caring for her granddaughter Aubrey, and spending time with her family and God.
